Celanese: VAM prices to increase again

US chemicals company Celanese (Dallas, Texas; www.celanese.com) has announced another price increase for the EVA feedstock VAM. Effective 1 April, the group will charge an additional EUR 100/t in Europe, while VAM prices in Asia and South and Central America will rise by USD 130/t. In the US, Canada and Mexico the hike will amount to USD 0.06/lb.

The group last increased VAM prices on 1 February 2010.
