Ems-Grivory: Expansion of PPA capacity announced

Ems-Grivory (Domat / Switzerland; www.emsgrivory.com) – the segment of the Ems group (Domat/ Switzerland; www.ems-group.com) responsible for engineering plastics – is increasing its production capacity for polyphthalamide (PPA) at the Domat home plant. The additional capacity for the high-performance polyamide “Grivory HT” is scheduled to come on stream in late 2010.

The company told the newsletter Plastics Information Europe (PIE, Bad Homburg / Germany; www.pieweb.com) that it is investing CHF 11m (around EUR 7.5m), but declined to give details of capacity. Ems-Grivory upped PPA capacity at this site to around 20,000 tpa in 2007.
