The betacontrol company was established in 1977 as a new division of
Freudenberger Maschinenfabrik Albrecht Bäumer. At the same time, the
"Industrial Process Control" manufacturing division of the Swiss
company, Landis + Gyr, was taken over.Thanks to its ability and willingness to
respond flexibly with innovative products to increasing market demands, this
medium-sized company has developed into a technological leader for thickness
and basis weight systems as well as engineering services for the
measuring and control sector and has enjoyed above-average growth rates.
betacontrol was spun off as an independent company with limited
liability in 1988 with the aim of progressing expansion. This specialist for
measuring applications, which operates under the motto, "For a better control",
established betacontrol of America in Towaco (New Jersey) in 1992 thus laying
the foundation for worldwide activities. A good 80% of systems are exported to
markets in Asia, the Middle East, USA and South America. Two thousand
applications have been realized to date throughout the world. betacontrol
GmbH’s & CO. KG core competence lies in the planning, production and
implementation of components to be used in measuring and control tasks.
