MAGNUM™ ABS Resins Produced with Mass Polymerization Technology 
For decades, MAGNUM™ ABS Resins from Trinseo have helped designers and fabricators differentiate their products and provide end-user satisfaction.
Trinseo’s MAGNUM™ ABS Resins are manufactured with continuous mass polymerization technology as opposed to an emulsion process. This yields a resin with a highly consistent, white color base resulting in a very cost efficient resin for self-coloring.  In addition it also results in a purer polymer.

With many advantages, MAGNUM™ ABS Resins are preferred by cross-industry designers. Our thermoplastic materials provide an excellent balance of processability, impact resistance, and heat resistance.

Thermally stable with a wide processing window, MAGNUM™ ABS Resins ensure excellent processability. The superior natural whiteness of the resins makes in-house coloring easy, requiring less pigment.

Medical devices made of MAGNUM™ ABS Resins can be sterilized by gamma radiation, ethylene oxide (EtO) gas, and electron beam radiation and will maintain their essential properties following exposure. (Steam autoclave is not recommended.)

INSPIRE™ Performance Polymers

Trinseo offers an extensive product line of INSPIRE™ Performance Polymers for automotive applications. These products address a wide range of technical and aesthetic performance specifications, enabling reduced weight and cost.
Trinseo’s talc-filled INSPIRE™ Polypropylene Solutions, such as INSPIRE™ TF1311 Resin, have been developed for aesthetic automotive interior components with high UV light stabilization, superior scratch resistance, and a low gloss level. As a result of their high impact resistance, they are especially suitable for interior applications requiring ductility, even at low temperatures.

For exterior applications like bumper fascia, our INSPIRE™ Performance Polymers, such as INSPIRE™ TF0808 Resin, provide high impact resistance and high stiffness combined with a good processability. This is due to their high flow characteristics. To provide the utmost flexibility, the resins are available for painted or unpainted parts and also for components with thin wall thickness.

VELVEX™ Reinforced Elastomers from Trinseo Automotive are thermoplastics for premium automotive interiors.

CALIBRE™ Polycarbonate Resins Deliver a Range of Performance Attributes 
Trinseo’s portfolio of CALIBRE™ Polycarbonate Resins offers amorphous engineering thermoplastics characterized by a high level of mechanical, optical, electrical, and thermal properties for foam processing, extrusion, blow molding, and injection molding.
Our proprietary interfacial production process gives CALIBRE™ Polycarbonate Resins very high clarity, ductility, and toughness. It also enables excellent impact resistance at very low temperatures and high dimensional stability at very high temperatures.

CALIBRE™ Polycarbonate Resins can be modified to meet specific performance requirements, including high transparency, color, ignition resistance, UV stability, and improved mold release. High-flow grades are available for thin-wall and long-flow-length applications.

PULSE™ Engineering Resins

PULSE™ Engineering Resins combine PC and ABS with an ideal mix of mechanical, thermal, and rheological properties for use in both high-performance interior and exterior applications.
With three decades of experience, Trinseo Automotive holds a leading position in the PC/ABS markets in Europe and North America. PULSE™ Engineering Resins provide strong technical features, such as low density, low emissions (VOC), and high impact strength. PULSE™ PC/ABS Resins are approved for many premium OEM specifications.

The PULSE™ GX Series is optimized for interior component applications like mid/floor consoles, instrument panels, pillars, and more. PULSE™ GX50 Engineering Resin is an easy flow, medium-heat PC/ABS resin with a density that allows part cost reduction for unpainted components. PULSE™ GX70 Engineering Resin offers evenly distributed low gloss appearance suitable for larger parts. With the same lower density characteristics of PULSE™ GX50 Resin, both resins are suitable for premium unpainted surfaces.

Additionally, we have now leveraged key features of our PULSE™ GX Series into the PULSE™ XT Series for exterior applications. The mineral-filled PULSE™ XT7215 Resin provides an ideal density for lighter weight and optimized costs – or a coefficient of linear thermal expansion (CLTE) that enables an improved dimensional stability and a better fit and finish. PULSE™ XT7215 Resin delivers a number that counts – a 10% reduction in density versus currently used filled PC/PET products for spoiler and roof rail applications.

The unfilled and mineral-filled PC/ABS blends of our PULSE™ XT Series offer high flow, which allows for more complicated designs as well as thinner wall thicknesses. This series can also enhance your exterior applications, such as bumper grills, roof rails, spoilers, and side mirror housings.

Trinseo's high-cis Ni-BR series has over 95% cis content, produced using a catalyst system based on nickel. Our Ni-BR grades are applicable for use in tire tread and sidewall compounds, in conveyor belts, and in a variety of mechanical goods requiring good dynamic properties.

For example, BUNA™ Cis 132 Rubber from Trinseo offers an excellent mix of various properties, such as good abrasion resistance, flex-cracking resistance, long fatigue life, low hysteresis, and excellent resilience.

Solution-Styrene Butadiene Rubber (S-SBR)

Trinseo offers a variety of solution-styrene butadiene rubber (S-SBR) products, including our proprietary SPRINTAN™ Rubber portfolio, to enhance and expand the potential for S-SBR in the marketplace. 
Trinseo’s polymerized S-SBR, produced by anionic batch polymerization, is available in a wide variety of styrene and vinyl contents.

For use in high-performance tires, our S-SBR products provide an excellent balance between wet grip, low rolling resistance, and abrasion resistance in silica and carbon black compounds. They are also used for the manufacture of high-quality industrial rubber goods.

Additionally, Trinseo’s multi-generation, proprietary functionalization technology – our series of SPRINTAN™ Rubber – allows tire producers to expand the “magic triangle” (wet grip, rolling resistance, and abrasion resistance) without making trade-offs among those three key properties. SPRINTAN™ Rubber is a key enabler for tire makers to upgrade their tire line with the objective of achieving the best rating according to the tire labeling (A-A).
