In June 2014, Borouge started-up its Borouge 3 expansion plant which added 2.5 million tonnes of polyethylene and polypropylene to its total production capacity which reached to 4.5 million tonnes per year.
Borouge has also expanded its commercial and logistics network in the Middle East and Asia and has invested in its Innovation Centre in Abu Dhabi and Application Centre in Shanghai.
