At the K2025 trade fair in Düsseldorf, the measuring technology specialist will be spotlighting two! new high-performers of its new XLine series: While the PIXARGUS ProfilControl 7 PlastX system focuses on the requirements of plastic extrusion, its counterpart ProfilControl 7 RubberFleX is the pinpoint specialist for rubber extrusion. An entirely new sensor head design and specifically tuned software achieve maximum precision and reliability with minimum complexity – and what’s more, at an exceptionally attractive price. A further highlight presented at the K2025: AllRounDia DualVision is raising the bar in tube and pipe inspection with a new, powerful hardware and software upgrade.

Not more software than necessary, and as little hardware as possible: With its new inline inspection series, ProfilControl 7 XLine, PIXARGUS is launching an entirely new system approach. Efficiency is now the ace, precision the key. “We have avoided overdimensioning in every respect, clearly focusing on achieving maximal performance and control with minimal system complexity,” explains PIXARGUS sales manager Michael Frohn. The new system series combines the essence from 25 years of ProfilControl 7 technology with exactly tailored industry solutions adapted with pinpoint accuracy to the specific quality requirements of plastic and rubber extrusion. “With ProfilControl XLine, we are launching a product portfolio designed to provide a system perfectly tailored to and focused on what is really needed in the respective industry and production segment – combining efficiency, modularity and economy with unprecedented performance.“

ProfilControl 7 XLine: Inline inspection solutions with pinpoint performance – for plastic and rubber extrusion

The new, modular sensor head design of the new ProfilControl 7 XLine series dispenses with a complete housing and a hinged cover. The open sensor plate with a predefined hole pattern makes it possible to position the cameras in a highly flexible way – according to the sector-specific setup. While up to 700 high-performance LEDs produce a homogeneous illumination field with maximal light yield, the ProfilControl software reliably filters out any interfering external light effects. Defects and defect sources in the production process are recognized at a very early stage, minimizing the risk of out-of-spec production. The objective of this approach is to ensure impeccable surfaces and perfect dimensional accuracy.

The system’s intelligent software is key in making ProfilControl 7 XLine a high-performer. It forms the basis for the intuitive operation of the system and the time-saving automated inspection processes. Focused analysis functions enhance the effectiveness of defect tracking. Also on board: Various new smart assistance functions, such as the function that supports the operator in setting up the inspection process for products with varying surfaces. The system now proposes the optimal roughness value so that the manual effort for the operator is virtually reduced to zero.

ProfilControl 7 PlastX for plastic extrusion: This powerful inspection system for plastic profiles combines best performance with outstanding cost efficiency – features that make it the system of choice particularly in the window construction industry. The complete, all-round inspection process ensures the reliable detection even of the smallest surface defects and geometrical deviations, thus making an important contribution to the reduction of scrap and process costs. For the secure detection of grooves, a special software module has been integrated. In its basic version, ProfilControl 7 PlastX needs only 4 cameras. This has been made possible by smartly combining optimized optics with high-performance camera elements, which can be expanded to 6 cameras with an adapted positioning to include the clamping dimensions for window installations.

ProfilControl 7 RubberFlex for rubber extrusion: This defect detector for rubber profiles is ready to cope with the highly exacting quality requirements of the automotive industry. It handles quality control of elastic, variable and filigree rubber profiles of simple and medium complexity with ease. The modular sensor head is freely configurable with up to 8 highly specialized cameras. The flexible positioning of the cameras enables the continuous and complete capturing of all areas of the profiles that will later be visible. Deformations have no chance, perfect dimensional accuracy is guaranteed – with this attractively priced system.

Surface. Dimension. DualVision: ProfilControl 7 PlastX und ProfilControl 7 RubberFlex are available as turnkey systems for standard applications in profile extrusion lines and designed to be flexibly extended. Depending on what the customer wishes, the systems are laid out to perform dimension measurement or surface inspection – or, as a combination of both functions, as an All-in-One solution for complete all-round inspection. The standard equipment includes an external 21.5” multi-touch monitor, a mobile support frame, and the encoder.

New standards in tube and pipe inspection: AllRounDia DualVision becomes bigger

PIXARGUS has given its all-rounder for tube and hose inspection a powerful hardware and software upgrade. The inline inspection system now comes with a measuring field expanded to an impressive 70 mm and is available with a separate screen and encoder as an option.

Proven features such as the compact design, the time-saving plug & play functions and the successful Two-in-One technology – in which the system inspects both the surface and the dimension in just one sensor unit – have now been complemented by powerful system extensions and additional analysis tools. These features take defect detection to the next level. The new Coil Change Module facilitates automated coil changing. The new SCADA Log Module makes it possible to track alterations quickly and reliably, and relate them to the respective operator.

As a Two-In-One solution, AllRounDia DV is the perfect choice for both newly installed lines and as a replacement in existing lines – in any case, a truly cost-cutting dual-purpose system.
