Was ist RecyClass?

RecyClass ist eine europaweite Initiative zur Förderung der Recyclingfähigkeit von Kunststoffverpackungen und zur Transparenz in der Kunststoffwertschöpfungskette.

Die Organisation bewertet Materialien, Prozesse und Produkte auf ihre Recyclingfreundlichkeit – wissenschaftlich fundiert und unabhängig geprüft.

• Rückverfolgbarkeit von Rezyklaten

Relevanz im Kontext von PPWR & ELV-Verordnung:

Die RecyClass-Zertifizierung ist nicht nur ein Zeichen unserer Verantwortung – sie ist auch ein bedeutender Beitrag zur Umsetzung der PPWR (Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation) der EU.

Diese fordert eine verbesserte Recyclingfähigkeit und klare Nachweisführung über den Einsatz von Rezyklaten in Verpackungen.

Durch unsere Zertifizierung erfüllen wir zentrale Anforderungen dieser Verordnung bereits heute.

Auch im Rahmen der ELV-Richtlinie (End-of-Life Vehicles Directive), die eine nachhaltige Behandlung von Altfahrzeugen fordert, gewinnen recyclingfähige Kunststoffe und die dokumentierte Kreislaufführung zunehmend an Bedeutung – insbesondere für unsere Kunden in der Automobilbranche.

What is RecyClass?

The organization evaluates materials, processes, and products for their recyclability—scientifically sound and independently tested.

Relevance in the context of PPWR & ELV Regulation:

RecyClass certification is not only a sign of our responsibility—it is also a significant contribution to the implementation of the EU's PPWR (Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation).

This requires improved recyclability and clear documentation of the use of recycled materials in packaging.

Thanks to our certification, we already meet the key requirements of this regulation today.

Recyclable plastics and documented recycling are also becoming increasingly important in the context of the ELV Directive (End-of-Life Vehicles Directive), which requires the sustainable treatment of end-of-life vehicles – especially for our customers in the automotive industry.
